Education has the power to transform a human being and is a basic human right for any individual. The best gift a parent can offer a child is education. Illiteracy is one of the main causes of sustained poverty. Millions of children in developing countries cannot go to school because of poverty. We have made it our priority to ensure that children have easy access to quality education by supporting programs involved in implementing schools and creating educational opportunities.
Being Humanitarian runs different projects under the Education program; we renovate and uplift vulnerable schools, distribute school supplies, provide teacher training, develop educational resources, and more.
There are more than one hundred thousand schools in Pakistan and Bangladesh who do not have the basic facilities in place to create a healthy learning environment for their students. Some are overcrowded, some do not have toilets or water facilities, some do not have furniture and other basic facilities required in the school, and moreover, most of the students do not have books and stationary supplies.
Being Humanitarian identifies a vulnerable school and renovates it, building extra toilets and water facilities, providing new furniture and other necessities required in the school. We also provide school kits to the students plus clean drinking water facilities, hygiene-promoting lessons, and teacher training workshops. This results in improved, higher-quality education, increased enrollment in schools(especially for girls), and awareness about hygiene and better standards for educational environments.
